Simple Present - Affirmative Form

n Usado para exprimir:
  n hábitos
n I study every day at night. (Estudo todo dia à noite)
n  Ronaldo plays soccer twice a week. (Ronaldo joga futebol duas vezes por semana)
  n verdades universais
n  Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius. (A água ferve a 100 graus)
n  The Earth goes around the Sun.. (A Terra gira em torno do sol)

Usado também para exprimir:
  n fatos permanentes
Vickytoria lives in New Zealand. (Vickytoria mora em Nova Zelândia)
  n ações no futuro agendadas no presente
Sarah arrives from the USA tomorrow. (Sara chegará dos EUA amanhâ)
  n localizações geográficas
Wellington lies in New Zealand.  (Wellington localiza-se na Nova Zelândia)

Rules - Regras
1st rule - Primeira regra

Obs: Na  terceira pessoa do singular   (Heele ou Sheela) acrescenta-se um ‘s’ no final do verbo.

2nd rule - Segunda regra
Verb to go (ir)

Obs. Na terceira pessoa do singular acrescenta-se um ‘es’ no final dos verbos terminados em "o" precedido por consoante. 

2nd rule - Segunda regra
Verb to fix / to watch / to wash / to miss
preparar/consertar / assistir / lavar / perder ou sentir falta

I fix / watch / wash / miss
You fix / watch / wash / miss
He fixes  / watches / washes / misses
She fixes  / watches / washes / misses

Obs: na terceira pessoa do singular acrescenta-se um ‘es’ no final dos verbos terminados em x, s, z, ch e sh.

3rd rule - Segunda regra

Obs. Na terceira pessoa do singular  (he, she, itdo verbo terminado em "y" precedido de consoante troca-se"y" por "i" e acrescenta-se um ‘es’ no final do verbo.

Obs. A terceira pessoa do singular do verbo to have é has, pois ele é um verbo irregular, logo, não obedece às regras anteriormente explicadas.
