Simple Present - Negative Form
Para fazermos a negativa no Simple Present, há a necessidade de usarmos o auxiliar DO em todas as pessoas acrescido do advérbio de negação NOT. O auxiliar será conjugado como um verbo principal, por esta razão, o auxiliar DO transforma-se em DOES.
Verb to
love
I don’t love
You don’t love
He doesn’t love
She doesn’t love
It doesn’t love
We don’t love
You don’t love
They don’t love
Obs. Na terceira pessoa do singular (ele ou ela)
acrescenta-se um
‘es’ no final
do auxiliar
does not ou doesn’t, e nas
demais pessoas usamos o
do not ou don’t.
Verb to wash (lavar)
I don’t wash
You don’t wash
He doesn’t wash
She doesn’t wash
It doesn’t wash
We don’t wash
You don’t wash
They don’t wash
Verb to study (estudar)
I don’t study
You don’t study
He doesn’t study
She doesn’t study
It doesn’t study
We don’t study
You don’t study
They don’t study
Verb to have (ter,
possuir)
I don’t have
You don’t have
He doesn’t have
She doesn’t have
It doesn’t have
We don’t have
You don’t have
They don’t have
Podemos observar que os verbos não mudam de forma na negativa, contudo o auxiliar do recebe o 'es' e transforma-se em does na terceira pessoa do singular (He, She, It).
